Marrakech, the red city
Marrakech the fourth largest city in the kingdom and it is known as one of the imperial cities of Morocco. It is located at the foot of the High Atlas mountains ( southwestern of Morocco). Historically, the city was founded by Abu Bakr ibn Omar in 1062, but before that, the region was inhabited by Berbers. and it was once known as the “red city” for its red walls. Marrakech is one of the cities that you can’t miss while you are visiting Morocco because it is full of historical and worth visiting places.
