► 4 days from Fes to Marrakech desert tour itinerary:
1st Day: Fez – Ifran – Cedar forest – Ziz valley and Canyon – Merzouga – Sahara Desert:
On the first day of this desert trip from Fez to Marrakech, we will leave for the desert in the morning. On the way, we’ll stop at some places both to rest, see what’s worth seeing and take some pictures. The first stop will be in Ifran, the city nicknamed the Switzerland of Africa. Its beautiful houses and the snow that falls there during wintertime makes it even more captivating. After almost 20 minutes of driving, we’ll reach the forest of Azrou where you’ll be able to see the Barbary apes. The latter is a type of monkey that is found in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.
After that, we’ll drive on toward Midelt and Rich where you’ll see high mountains and rocks, particularly in a place known as Tizi n Tlghomt. When you get to the city of Errachidia, you’ll realize that you are getting closer to the Sahara desert, but before we get there, you will have taken some pictures of the panoramic views of Ziz palmeriea. We will spend Today night in a hotel.
2nd day: Merzouga – Take a Tour around the desert to visit Khamlia village and visit a nomad family in the desert – ride the camel over Erg Chebbi dunes and camping in the Sahara desert:
The second day will be an opportunity for you to see the desert and explore many things. Basically, you will be taken on a tour around Erg Chebbi that is characterized by its beautiful sand dunes that you’ll see in the 4 by 4 car that you will be in by then. We will drive further in the Desert so you can visit a nomad family to see how they live in the desert and how traditional and lovely their simple lives are.
Furthermore, we’ll take you to see one village where black people live and whose origin is from Sudan. Those black people will play Gnaoua music for you. Last but least, you’ll eat the Berber pizza, and be taken back to the hotel where you’ll get ready camel trick and spent a night in a well-equipped camp.
3rd Day: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Tinghir – Boumalen Dades:
The third day will be a drive from the desert to Boumalne Dades. In the morning we’ll wake up and head toward our destination, but before we get there we’ll pass by some villages such as El jorf, Mellab, and Tinjdad, and when we arrive in Tinghir a small city know for its palm trees and enchanting sceneries, we are going to head to the gorge of Toudgha and see the canyons and rocks. Honestly, the canyons of Toudgha are a beautiful place where climbers enjoy their climbing activities. And then we’ll go to the hotel in Boumalne Dades to spend a second night there.
4th Day: DADE’S GORGES – ROSE’S VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDU KASBAH – ATLAS MOUNTANAIS – MARRAKECH:
The fourth day of your desert tour from Fes to Marrakech is a drive from Boumalne Dades to Marrakesh. Our first stop will be in Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco. After that, we’ll visit the Kasbah of ait Benhaddou which is approximately 30 km away from Ouarzazate. The kasbah of Ait Benhaddou is a beautiful place rich in history and landscapes. Therefore, it attracts a good number of visitors who are interested in Amazighs. Also, their cultures, as their breath-taking old buildings that look like paintings. Finally, we will pass through the stunning High Atlas Mountains and stop for some photos.
